School for Creative Children

All children are creative, they just show it in different ways. Creativity is prioritized in schools systems across the world, but in The States the focus is on rigor. I wonder why?….. We develop your child’s mind. We help them think critically, problem solve, and develop the capacity for high level thought. We foster that part of your child that will eventually change the world.  

Home School

I am sick and tired of us feeling like we need to leave our community in order to get a good education for our kids. We bus them to neighborhood, in which they are the only black child in the room, or we pay for expensive private schools that don’t teach the wonderfulness of our culture. I'm not alone in this, as many black parents have made the decision to home school their children. Black Royalty will develop a first of its kind, Home school curriculum for grades Pre-School–High School, that is completely designed for black students. Our goal is to provide parents with a quality and affordable option to educate their children at home, and/or provide a quality supplement to their current education. 

Saturday School

Speaking of supplementing their current education, that’s exactly why we created Saturday school. While similar to our Home School product, Saturday school is designed to close the achievement gap plaguing black children in America. The content of these videos will focus on math, reading, and language to help black students achieve higher scores on standardized testing and hence, achieve higher opportunities to get into quality universities. Saturday school can be done independently or in groups and parents have the ability to determine to pace and rigor of the program. 

Homework

Black Royalty is a great way to give students enriching homework. Day Cares, Home Schools, and Brick and Morter schools can assign black royalty videos for homework. This is a great way for day cares and schools to engage parents in the learning process. Remember access to Black Royal comes with access to Black AF, so parents can develop along with their children.

Day Cares

The primary customer for Black Royalty in its infancy will be Day Care Centers. They provide a large parental customer base, and can serve as a solid advertising platform for the company. Our goal is for Day Cares offering our product to be “Black Royalty Certified”. Videos for day cares will focus on educational assistance, but also on black history, community development, and business/ entrepreneurship. We hope to offer day cares a way to diversify their educational offerings, as well as to promote positive images of black people early in the child's life.  

Cartoons 

Finding quality cartoons with images of black characters is a difficult task. While DocMcStuffins has made national acclaim, she was not created by black person. While the efforts to bring a positive black character to the mainstream is much appreciated, there are tons of black illustrators and authors who don’t get the proper attention for their contributions to our culture. We seek to find the existing black cartoons, as well as work with black cartoonist to develop more content for our community. Part of Black Royalty’s mission is to serve as a hub for this content so parents can find a diversity of black cartoons for their children to enjoy.
